Well, I said in my initial entry here " I wasn't big on writing an open book." So it appears (here) but I found other places on the net and learned that I DID in fact enjoy writing.
Of course, I havn't exactly opened up myself completely. I like to focus on only positive thoughts and feelings in my blogs. There is a lot I have in me. I could write a book on my life's trials. But, I don't want to. I think my true "book" is being written.
Anyway, Its been a year. Almost. My son was born October 19th at 5:01 am. He was 7 pounds 2 ounces and 19 inches long. Now he is 5 months old nearly!
When I was pregnant, time did something strange. It slowed to an oppresive rate. There's something not quite right about time when you are pregnant. It is like nature is doing something completely mystical, raw and .. I don't even have the words.
Time slows yes, but its more than that. Something wonderful yet something exremely difficult to endure, during a pregnancy a woman can go mad with the wait. It is important a woman find things to occupy her mind with during pregnancy, friends to turn to, places to go. I nearly lost my mind. Carrying William was a miracle but it was the hardest thing I have ever done because of the wait and the trials I endured along the way.
But now he is here. He's laughing and smiling, nearly about to crawl. It seems like just yesterday he was born. I have been going through this emotion since the day he was born where I just look at him in this beautiful agonising loving knowledge (like my heart could burst from so much love) that the tiny boy I see at that moment is passing, growing before my very eyes and I just hold him tight and actually visualise myself trying to stop the time. It seems since he was born time picked back up its pace, and it sweeping us along at an all too rapid rate.
I love my son. He is such a joy. I am going to raise a little boy into a man and his whole life is before him. That is good and how it is supposed to be. I just wish I could stop the time some days and hold him in his state, only a little longer.
